Introducing the New 3511 Cabinet Lock
Rutherford Controls Int’l Corp., June 15, 2008 -

When installing an electric lock on a cabinet or any small enclosure, one of the biggest challenges is getting power to the cabinet - and the lock itself. Today Rutherford Controls (RCI) introduced a wireless, battery operated Cabinet Lock. The self-contained 3511 Cabinet Lock also includes a built-in ibutton multi-user access control system. Ideal for loss prevention, this stand-alone system accepts up to 160 users.

The 3511 is easy to program and install in new or retrofit applications. It can be used on a wide variety of enclosures such as; lockers, jewelry cases, drug carts, cash drawers, filing cabinets …and more. When space is limited, the slim design makes this lock ideal for small wood or metal enclosures.

The 3511 fail locked (fail-secure) Cabinet Lock has an emergency mechanical override in the event of a lost ibutton. The built-in battery lasts for up to 3 years or 350,000 operations and provides a low-battery LED warning, (at 50,000 operations) before replacement is required. With 180lbs (82 Kgs) of holding force, this versatile Cabinet Lock is the ideal solution for securing enclosures in retail or institutional applications. Soon to be known as the "lock in a box", it has everything installers need to finish the job.

This new product is the perfect addition to RCI’s popular 3513 hard-wired Cabinet Lock with 440 lbs. (200kgs) of holding force.
